Unlike a standard diffusion or soft-focus filter, the Pro-Mist keeps image detail largely intact while still adding that gentle, pastel-like quality of light. The 1/8 grade sits on the lighter end of the Pro-Mist range, offering a subtler effect than the 1/4 density. Built with Tiffen's ColorCore process, the filter substrate is laminated between two pieces of optical glass, ground flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and mounted in a precision metal ring for reliable, consistent results.
