Privacy Policy

1. Data controller

This Privacy Policy explains how LIGHTWORK, S.L. ("LIGHTWORK", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects the personal data of people who visit www.lightwork.tv or hire our audiovisual equipment rental services, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).
 

2. What data do we collect?

Depending on how you interact with us, we may process the following data:

  • Contact details: name, surname, email address, phone number, provided through the contact form or booking request.

  • Billing and tax details: name/company name, tax ID, billing address, required to formalise the rental contract and issue an invoice.

  • Booking/rental details: equipment requested, pick-up and return dates, amount payable and, where applicable, payment method data (processed by the payment gateway; LIGHTWORK does not store full card details).

  • Identity data, where necessary for the handover of high-value equipment (e.g. a copy of an ID document, if requested to formalise the rental contract).

  • Browsing data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookies Policy).

4. How long do we keep your data?

Data will be kept for as long as the contractual or business relationship is maintained and, once it ends, for the legally applicable limitation periods (generally, up to 6 years for commercial and tax purposes, under the Spanish Commercial Code and tax regulations). Data processed on the basis of consent will be kept until the data subject withdraws it.

5. Who do we share your data with?

As a general rule, LIGHTWORK does not share data with third parties, except with:

  • Providers necessary for our business activity (payment gateway, website hosting/Wix, invoicing tools, accounting firm), acting as data processors under contract in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

  • Public authorities, where there is a legal obligation to do so (e.g. the Spanish Tax Agency).

  • No international data transfers take place outside the European Economic Area, unless a provider used (for example, tools within the Wix platform or payment gateways) is located outside this area, in which case the transfer will be safeguarded through the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another valid mechanism under the GDPR.

6. Rights of data subjects

You may exercise the following rights at any time, free of charge:

  • Access: find out what data we hold about you.

  • Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.

  • Erasure: request deletion of your data when it is no longer necessary.

  • Objection: object to the processing of your data in certain circumstances.

  • Restriction of processing: request that we limit the use of your data.

  • Portability: receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.

  • Withdraw consent given at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.

You can exercise these rights by sending a request to hello@lightwork.tv, indicating the right you wish to exercise and attaching a copy of an identity document.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) (www.aepd.es) if you believe the processing of your data does not comply with applicable law.

7. Security measures

LIGHTWORK has adopted the technical and organisational measures necessary to ensure the security of personal data and to prevent its alteration, loss, unauthorised processing or access, taking into account the state of the art, the nature of the data stored and the risks involved.

8. Minors

The services offered through the Website are aimed at adults. LIGHTWORK does not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Changes to this Policy

LIGHTWORK may amend this Privacy Policy to adapt it to legislative or case-law developments, as well as to industry practices. Any changes will be announced on this page with reasonable notice before they take effect.
