Photek Umbrella Softlighter II 36

The Photek Softlighter II is a hybrid modifier that combines the quick setup of a shoot-through umbrella with the contrast control of a softbox. At 36", it opens like a standard umbrella with a silver interior for punchy bounce light, but it also has a removable front diffusion panel that zips on to soften and contain the light the way a softbox would.

That two-in-one design means a photographer can shoot through it as an open umbrella for broad, energetic light, or close up the front panel for a softer, more directional result, all without changing modifiers.
